A vitamin C supplement gives an anti aging boost to your daily skin care beauty regimen. Its antioxidant strength fights and blocks the action of free radical attack and prevents future signs of aging, renews elasticity and firmness, and diminishes the appearance of aging skin.

While it is best to get your vitamins and minerals from vitamin rich foods, vitamin supplements may be helpful to ensure your getting enough of the vitamin your body requires especially in the case of water-soluble vitamins, (such as vitamin C) which means that the body uses what it needs and excretes the rest. For this reason a daily requirement is essential.

Most of us in today' fast driven society do not meet the basic daily dietary guidelines for getting sufficient amounts of the vital anti aging nutrients recommended.

Vitamin C is found in abundance in citrus, antioxidant fruits, such as oranges, kiwifruit, papaya, grapefruit, and lemons, and in vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower and green leafy vegetables such as spinach.

Skin Vitamins For Healthy Glowing Skin

The suns ultraviolet rays over time destroys our skin' collagen protein resulting in a leathery skin appearance, blotchy, skin pigmentation and face wrinkles.

Vitamin-C products help repair skin damage from the sun and restore firmness and skin tone. It protects, heals the skin, and helps repair sun damage to skin and gives over-all glowing skin benefits.

Vitamins C is one of the most powerful and best antioxidants that helps to stimulate the formation of collagen, the substance that gives skin its firmness & elasticity.

The Role Of Vitamin C In Skincare

Even though vitamin C was discovered over 70 years ago as the agent that prevents scurvy it has been recognized to successfully help aid in skin rejuvenation.
Studies have shown great success that antioxidants, such as vitamin c are equipped to combat free radicals associated with premature skin aging, fighting wrinkle formation before they begin.

Vitamin-c (L-asorbic acid) can be successfully used in many anti aging treatments if it is fresh, stable, and properly stored.
Being un-stable means that it oxidizes easily when it is exposed to air. Oxidized vitamin- C will not benefit skin so this is why it' very important to be very selective in your anti aging skin care products purchase.

L-ascorbic acid is the 'natural' form of the c vitamin. Good quality topical C products contain stable L-ascorbic acid at a low pH, which allows vitamin C to be absorbed by the skin.

The downside of anti aging treatments of topical vitamin c is, in order for it to be effective the concentration formulations are highly acidic which may be irritating, especially for people with skin sensitivity.
Topical c vitamins antioxidant concentrations need to be at least a 10% solution strength to boost collagen synthesis.

Over time, vitamin c will visibly improve skin clarity, tone and texture and minimize the appearance of fine lines under eyes and facial wrinkle, leaving skin with a firmer, smoother, younger skin appearance.

Research shows that topical vitamin C also offers photo protective qualities. However, it is important to note that topical vitamin C is not a sunscreen product, so additional face sunscreen protection is still necessary.

There is nothing worse than heading into those Christmas parties with a lighter shade of pale on your skin. In the winter months, the skin color achieved in the summer has all but faded and you are left glowing in the dark. Self tanning lotions have greatly improved over the last few years. This means gaining back some of that summer glow is as simple as rubbing lotion on the skin.

How much is too much?

There is a difference, however, in the summer color and winter color you need to achieve. During the winter, a soft glow is better than the deep color you may wear in the summer. That deep color is often a mixture of several tanning sessions compounded one on top of another. Over time, the summer glow is earned and you look hotter than ever before.

There are several types of self tanner, but the lotion is the best on the market. The wipes tend to be easier, but they dry out so quickly that they can leave the skin looking streaked quite easily. If you want to take a bit longer to naturally tan, try mixing the self tanning lotion with your normal body lotion 50/50. This will help you to self tan slowly so no one will notice the change that an abrupt color difference will certainly ping off.

Smart Lipo Tips

October 12th 2009 13:00
Smart Lipo is the most contemporary laser treatment used by patients to get rid of excessive fat. The discovery of this procedure was made in Europe and has gained popularity in Asia, and South America. Laser is used to dissolve fat in the body and tighten the skin around areas of interest. No anesthetic is required to carry out this procedure. It is important to note that removal of excessive fat in this procedure is semi-permanent.

Procedure

This procedure can be done in a clinic or office. The areas with fat deposits are marked and local anesthesia applied to make the parts numb. A laser pen is fired near the skin; this caused the fat cells to disintegrate. A fluid is released into the lymphatic system, which is the body's natural draining system. The laser causes a coagulation of blood capillaries. This reduces the subsequent side effects like swelling and bleeding. The laser also makes the skin shrink and tighten. Each session will take about 45 minutes.

Are There any Side Effects?

What is Beauty, Really?

July 18th 2009 01:18
Striving for beauty is something every woman does from time to time. Whether the woman tries to be thinner, or tries to have more luxurious hair, she is always pushing the limits of her body and time to make things seem more worth it in the end. But, what is the real definition of beauty?

The old saying goes, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." The trouble with that statement is the lack of definition for who the beholder is. Is the woman the one who is judging the real definition of beauty, is her spouse or partner defining beauty or is society defining beauty

The Perfect Wedding Dress Figure

May 30th 2009 01:30
Your wedding is just around the corner and you still have not managed to stick to that diet long enough to lose the 10 pounds you wanted to lose. Your dress is perfect, but your body is not. How can this be fixed? Well, if there is an alterations expert in your life, there is a way to make your body instantly look better and thinner.

The trouble with many wedding dresses is that they are made to cinch at the waist. If there is no hourglass figure, the cinch does not happen and the dress looks boxy. Today, the alterations expert can help out the not so perfect body by improving the upper half to make the middle section look thinner. That's right ladies, instant boobs

I recently stumbled upon a foundation that matches your skin tone perfectly. The foundation is light and airy with no heavy feel on the face. I was concerned about a true match, but there is never a tone out of place. Even with the fun in the sun lately and a bit darker shade of skin - my foundation still matches every time.

The name of the foundation is Revlon Beyond Natural. I chose to pick up two shades, one for light skin and one for medium (I do plan to tan a bit more). I first chose this foundation to try it before my upcoming wedding (renewal of vows after 15 years) and became immediately addicted. Here are the steps for a flawless face
